New Leaves

As with bits of packing tape that get stuck to the roll when you're trying to peel a new piece, or like sheets of resin-coated photo paper glued together by humidity, my attempts at turning over a new leaf are always weighed down and made messy by remnants of pages I've failed to flip completely in the past. It's nearly impossible to remove what's left of the old layers without tearing what's underneath.
